Sterling Silver jewelry can be easily scratched and marked, so storing your silver bracelets, rings, necklace ect carefully are important
If you still have the box or pouch you received your silver in, it is a good idea to use these for storage. More often than not they will have a soft protective lining inside which will protect your Silver.
If you have a pendant on a chain, remove the pendant before you put it away. This will ensure the chain doesn't damage the pendant while it is being stored.
A jewellery box is ideal for this and pretty much all of your current jewellery range. Make sure that there is a bit of space around each of the items to ensure that they don't rub against each other. Most jewellery boxes come with individual holding spaces for rings, earrings, bracelets, chains where they can be stored properly.
If you don't have a jewellery box and are planning on storing your silver loosely in a drawer, place a pillow case or other soft cloth underneath them and another on top of them. This will help them to stay put when you open and close the drawer resulting in there being less of a chance of the items damaging each other.
Storing your jewellery in an organised and orderly way not only helps to protect it but also allows you to easily see what you have and what you need to complete your collection.
